The Temple Menorah

One of the reminders of the end of Jewish Temple worship can still be seen in Rome. It is the Victory Arch built to memorialize Roman Emporer Titus and depicts his troops parading booty taken after the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 A.D.

Apparently the Temple Menorah was put on public display at the time but disappeared when the empire fell four centuries later. What happened to it?

The current issue of Commentary Magazine has an article exploring the matter.
